ABOUT
More than 2000 new ICT companies are founded every year and it is these companies who are at the heart of driving digital innovations forward and which are making and digital transformation possible today.
In order to offer more support to such important initiatives in an industry that must remain native to Switzerland, an event is needed that will allow Start-Ups to informally extend their social reach, aid in knowledge sharing, nurture collaboration, and above all to have a platform with which to attract clients interested in what innovative solutions are being offered. All in all, the event is an excellent opportunity to connect with experts from user and provider companies.
PARTICIPATION
To participate, Start-Ups pay the event's organisers a small fee to become a sponsor of the event and in turn get their business promoted through “poster booth” participation. Clearly, it’s a mutually beneficial arrangement: The event makers will have its participants and get the event costs covered; Start-Ups will be able to present themselves in the proper setting, spread their marketing materials and at the same time catapulted those same materials virtually out into the net. So, for Start-Ups, participation in the project means one thing: Getting your Start-Up on your prospects' radar.
The participation fee for Start-Ups is 150.- sFr and for those Start-Ups that are members of swissICT a sponsorship that will cover partof the participation fee. For this small fee, the event organiser will offer each Start-Up placement in the IT Poster Slam maze with their poster-both, be able to use of the Meet & Greet Spaces and have the option to use a breakout room for ad hoc meetings and presentations. An invitation to the IT Meet Up Apero Riche Event included and with which they can be introduced to VIP guests who have been invited to attend the event for purposes of networking and for farming a client base.

POSTER BOOTH DESIGN
There are two levels to the design of the poster booths that involve two separate print elements which are the Presentation Poster and the Information Brochure. The Presentation Poster acts as the info hanger at the poster booth. It is suggested that the design of it be kept very simple so that the information on it can be absorbed quickly and even while passing by. To speed up time and to cut to the chase, participating Start-Ups can use the available power template. As an infographic, it includes the following infographic areas:
- The Company Message (Plain language with 1 to 2 sentences about your Start-Up)
- The QR Code Link (Direct link to download your Start-Ups own info brochure)
- The Ammo Bar (column on the right side with all tables and figures etc. needed to pitch)
- The Silent Presenter Bar (company infos, products and services, key customers, and contact info in short form when you are not present or busy with another client)
The second print element, the Information Brochure is a print documents designed by the Start-Up targeted at potentials customers. It is used to offer extended information about the company and a description of main products and services are being offered what the benefits of these are. The brochure might also include any elements that are common to the Start-Ups’ original business plan along with achievements, milestones, investors pitches, and key customers portraits.
