ABOUT
The “IT Poster Slam Project” is for participants from diverse areas of IT related study and for the general public. IT is transforming all aspects of our society and has become an integral part of many areas of knowledge. The project’s intention is to showcase selected contributions to this development by the next generation on all levels of our educational system. The subject matter is not limited solely to the field of core computer science; therefore posters can include any subject or area that is relevant to any aspect of IT practices, research, or education.
Design Hints
Design your poster presentation with a diverse audience in mind! Use to-the-point text to introduce the subject of your poster; whenever possible use images, graphics or cartoons to depict your topic and methods; typical are 1-2 graphical representations (table, graph, picture, schematic) to highlights any findings; be sure to have a section that highlights the application and/ or benefits of your work to the society. Posters may also include digital enhancements including QR codes that redirect viewers to external media and any type of new technology, for example Augmented Reality, that extends the poster’s function.
Format
The format of the final poster is A0. It can include color images as long as they are at the proper resolution. Please note that space must be left available for a QR code at the upper right corner of the paper. The QR code can be generated using any online service and will be used to allow visitors to download posters in pdf format. The QR code must be black on white and have the following dimensions: 10 by 10 cm. See template for further details.
Submission
The poster must be submitted electronically in PDF format to us All selected posters will be printed and placed into the Poster Slam maze, making them available to visitors to the Poster Slam. Once all submissions have been received and the selection has been made, you will be contacted with further information should your poster be selected.
